The Smart Community Lab, a pre-incubation program, kicked off Nov. 22 for teams that intend to launch new products and entrepreneurial activities that improve people’s lives and the sustainability of cities.
The initiative is a collaboration between Binario F, the space in the heart of Rome that Facebook created to contribute to the development of Italy’s social and economic fabric by strengthening the digital skills of students, professionals, businesses and NGOs, and Elastic Thinkers, a company that develops training programs on innovation and product management founded by Nicola Mattina.
Born from the resourcefulness of two technology enthusiastic brothers, our project today consists of: Web Developer, Graphic Designer, Digital Marketing Specialist and Video & Photo editor. We use only the latest and most reliable technologies to achieve exclusively the best result for our clients.
Fourteen teams participated in the first edition, with projects ranging from predictive maintenance to parking sharing, from new educational formats for middle school to experiential tourism.
During the meetings, participants had the opportunity to develop their ideas through a path that started from the exploration of opportunity spaces and the analysis of potential clients touching on topics such as ideation techniques and Visual Thinking, prototyping and storytelling techniques, all the way to the first tests with potential clients through the creation of an online presence and a Facebook campaign.
I participated in the entire course, gaining several skills in User Experience. If you would like to know the full program of the course, keep following us! Stay tuned! 😉
