Challenge & Solution
“Il Volo” is more than just a street art intervention: it is an urban regeneration project that aims to transform the city landscape and the way people live and perceive common spaces.
Created by Grillo Design Studio and winner of the Lazio Street Art 2022 Call for Projects, this project embodies the mission of bringing art out of museums and into the streets, making it accessible to all.
“Il Volo” tells a story of freedom and rebirth, inviting the community to rediscover the beauty of their urban environment.
1. Street Art Work and Urban Regeneration.
At the center of the project is a mural work that beautifies a previously blighted urban area.
The large-scale work depicts figures in flight, a symbol of dreams and limitless aspirations.
The choice of flight as the central theme is not random: it represents the desire to overcome obstacles, soar above everyday difficulties and imagine a better future.
Each brushstroke contributes to bringing life to a space that was previously perceived as gray and anonymous, transforming it into a place of encounter and reflection.
Urban regeneration thus becomes not only aesthetic but also social, inviting the community to participate and interact with art.
2. Community Involvement.
One of the distinctive aspects of the “Il Volo” project is the participatory approach.
Grillo Design Studio has involved everyone.
